Bethesda North Hospital Recognized for Heart Attack Care
August 20, 2008
Bethesda North Hospital has been listed among 100 hospitals nationally with the lowest death rate for heart attack. The data was released today on the US government website hospitalcompare.hhs.gov. It is based on Medicare patients from July 2006 to June 2007. No other Cincinnati hospital made the top 100.
“This data recognizes the focus that Bethesda North Hospital has placed on continuous improvement, especially in the area of heart attack care,” declares John Prout, president and CEO of TriHealth. “Congratulations to our staff and physicians, who have worked tirelessly to improve the process of care and reduce the time to treatment, making Bethesda North Hospital the first choice for heart attack patients.”
“We are thrilled with this report and with the commitment our employees and physicians have shown to reach this milestone,” adds Sher McClanahan, chief operating officer, Bethesda North Hospital. “Bethesda North's Emergency Department consistently treats more heart attack patients than any hospital in Cincinnati, and this data demonstrates why they put their trust in us.”
