Good Samaritan Hospital, opened in 1852 under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Charity, is the oldest and largest private teaching and specialty health care facility in Greater Cincinnati. It continually is acknowledged for its highly rated maternity and newborn programs, robotic-assisted surgery services, outstanding cardiac care and vascular programs.
Over the past 150 years, the hospital has grown from a small facility with 21 beds to one of the largest hospitals in the city, encompassing more than a city block, housing more than 450 beds and partnering with 1,600 physicians. It recently completed a five-year, $122 million modernization and expansion project to meet the needs of the growing community, physicians and their patients.
