Bethesda North Hospital Named One of Nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Solucient

Bethesda North Hospital announced Wednesday, March 1 that they have been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals in the category of teaching hospitals by Evanston, Illinois based Solucient, the nation’s leading source of health care information products. The award marks the second consecutive year Bethesda North has been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Solucient. Solucient’s 100 Top Hospitals study appears in the February 27 issue of Modern Health Care magazine.
“We are honored to be recognized for the second year in a row by Solucient as one of the 100 top teaching hospitals in the nation,” said Sher McClanahan, Vice President and C.O.O. of Bethesda North. “This award demonstrates a consistent focus by our nurses, physicians and support staff to continually improve the quality of care we provide to our patients.”
The 13th edition of the Solucient 100 Top Hospitals: National Benchmarks for Success study scored hospitals according to nine key organization measures including: risk adjusted mortality, risk adjusted complications, patient safety, growth in patient volume, severity-adjusted average length of stay, expense per adjusted discharge, profit from operations, cash to debt ratio and tangible assets per discharge.
