Should I Go Organic?
A recent study finds that going organic has plenty of benefits, including lower levels of pesticides, “but in terms of just flat nutrition, there really isn’t a difference,” Kathy tells Local 12's Liz Bonis.
While eating organically grown fruits and vegetables usually costs more than produce not grown this way, she says you can limit adding chemicals to foods pretty easily.
“I always tell people that the best thing to do is eat from the tree, from the ground, from the vine or from the animal that you would recognize,” Kathy explains.
She also says that many people do not eat enough produce for pesticides to really be an issue.
