TriHealth Names New Medical Staff Presidents
January 23, 2012 – TriHealth has announced the appointment of new Medical Staff presidents: Dr.
Stuart Donovan at Bethesda and Dr. Stephen Blatt at Good Samaritan.

working together. Drs. Donovan and Blatt
are strong leaders who will further strengthen our partnership with physicians
and ensure that we deliver quality, safe, and efficient care for every
patient,” said Dr. Georges Feghali, Senior Vice President of Quality and Chief
Medical Officer for TriHealth.
Stuart Donovan MD
is president of the Bethesda Medical/Dental Staff and president of Queen City
Surgical Consultants. He has been in practice since 1991, specializing in
advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Donovan will oversee the medical and dental
staffs at Bethesda North Hospital, Bethesda Medical Center Arrow Springs and
the recently purchased Butler County Surgery Center.
He is a national preceptor for laparoscopic hernia
surgery for Ethicon, Inc. and has instructed surgeons from the United States
and Europe on advanced laparoscopic techniques in hernia surgery. He earned his
undergraduate degree from University of Cincinnati, medical degree from Wright
State University School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency
in general surgery at Good Samaritan.
Stephen P. Blatt
MD FACP is president of Good Samaritan’s Medical/Dental Staff and
TriHealth’s medical director for Infectious Diseases. He also is vice president
of Infectious Diseases Consultants of Cincinnati Inc. where he formerly served
as president. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame,
his medical degree from University of Cincinnati, and completed his internship
and residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
There he also served an Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
“The challenge for
the Medical Staff at Good Samaritan will be to lead the change to a fully
integrated health system while maintaining and improving the quality of care
for all of our patients,” said Dr. Blatt. “I look forward to leading and
serving the Medical Staff to assure that the outstanding quality of care that
we have developed continues to improve and that TriHealth emerges as the
pre-eminent integrated system in this area.” Dr. Blatt will oversee the medical
and dental staffs at Good Samaritan Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center
Western Ridge.
