February 1, 2013 - Bethesda Butler Hospital has opened a new emergency department . The 10,500 square-foot addition to the hospital is the newest emergency department in Butler County and is located at 3075 Hamilton Mason Road, near the Route 4 bypass.
Providing, 24-hour, full-service emergency care to the community, the 17-bed unit is attached to the imaging center and surgery center of the former Butler County Medical Center that was purchased by TriHealth in March of 2012 and renamed Bethesda Butler Hospital.
"TriHealth is excited to expand our presence in the Butler County community," said John Prout, President and Chief Executive Officer of TriHealth. "The quality care of the TriHealth integrated health system is now available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week."
The new emergency department is supported by a full suite of diagnostic services onsite as well as top-notch surgical and inpatient care and also has a helipad for the transport of critically ill patients. A section of rooms have been specifically designed with the needs of seniors in mind, with special equipment, stretchers, lighting and coloring.

Overall, the addition brings over 40 new jobs to the region, including nurses and support staff. Patients are seen by the same board-certified, experienced physicians who staff all of TriHealth's emergency rooms.
Since acquiring the hospital, TriHealth has added offices for the TriHealth Heart Institute, expanded services to offer cardiac testing and expanded physical therapy. Additionally, Physician Associates of Good Sam - Northwest moved to the campus, Queen City Pediatrics is moving its Ross location on February 18 to the campus.
With the opening of the new emergency department, TriHealth is also expanding its electronic medical record system, TriHealth Connect, to the hospital. The system allows physicians and caregivers across the TriHealth system instant and seamless access to a complete patient record to provide the best possible care.
Bethesda Butler County has a full complement of hospital services on campus including surgery, inpatient unit, imaging, physical therapy, lab, sleep center, TriHealth Heart Institute Cardiologists and cardiac testing.
