United Resource Group for Equality (URGE)

In 2013, TriHealth formed the United Resource Group for Equality, or URGE. This group focuses on strengthening TriHealth’s best practices for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) patients, team members and their families by working with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and using results of the Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) survey.

"By recognizing the LGBT members of our workforce through our team member resource group, TriHealth supports a positive environment in which diversity is recognized along with ensuring that LGBT team members and patients feel comfortable and valued. In addition to giving guidance on workplace policies and practices, URGE (United Resources Group for Equality) will help provide a sense of safety and acceptance for LGBT team members and patients. URGE looks to maintain a visible presence that continues to allow LGBT team members and patients to be respected and have a voice within TriHealth."
