Health Talk Podcast: Robotically-Assisted Heart Surgery

In the first episode of our new podcast Health Talk by TriHealth, you’ll hear from J. Michael Smith MD with the TriHealth Heart Institute and Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Medical Director of the Minimally Invasive Training Center at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital.  TriHealth was the first to perform cardiac robotic surgeries in Cincinnati.

In the podcast, Dr. Smith explains how minimally-invasive robotic-assisted surgery helps patients avoid the trauma of open-heart surgery, and significantly improves recovery times. He is joined by Dan Terlau, who underwent robotic-assisted heart surgery in late 2017. Dan describes his experience with the surgery and the ease of his recovery process.
