Doctor on Call: Advances in Robotic Diagnosis of Lung Cancer

Advances in robotic diagnostic technology being utilized by TriHealth physicians could mean better outcomes for lung cancer patients. In this segment of TriHealth’s Doctor on Call, Craig Eisentrout MD, a pulmonologist with TriHealth, explains how the Ion robotic platform has advanced the ability of physicians to biopsy small spots in the lung where they were once unable without often having to remove a portion of the lung. TriHealth’s lung program is one of only 20 centers in the country using the technology for this purpose.
