Health Talk Live: Back to School and Concerns Over the Delta Variant

There are growing concerns about the infection level of the delta variant of COVID-19 among children and studies suggest it is making younger people sicker than the original strains. So what should parents and staff know as children get ready to head back to school?

In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis speaks with Stephen Blatt MD, Medical Director for Infectious Diseases at TriHealth about these concerns. He also addresses public confusion about masking recommendations for schools form the American Academy of Pediatrics and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He also reiterates how vaccinations for those who are able to receive them can help protect those, such as young children, who are not yet able.
