Health Talk Live: Teens, Adolescents and COVID-19 Vaccines
Some parents of adolescents and teens may have concerns over recent reports of minor heart inflammation that may be associated with COVID-19 vaccines, leaving them with questions over whether or not to have their children vaccinated.
In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis speaks with TriHealth pediatrician Nafeh Fananapazir, MD about these concerns. He explains why risks are still higher for these ages groups without the vaccine and why pediatricians still recommend it. He also touches on changes in recommendations on the timing of the vaccine in conjunction with other vaccinations.
