Health Talk by TriHealth: Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine

The human body has an amazing ability to repair itself, but damage to unhealthy tissues can slow healing down or even prevent it. A new field known as regenerative medicine uses advances in molecular biology to give new hope to patients and new treatment options to the medical community.

In this episode, of Health Talk by TriHealth, Andrew Islam, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with the TriHealth Orthopedic & Sports Institute, explains how TriHealth is using orthopedic regenerative medicine to stimulate healing of damaged tissue and manage pain associated with chronic tendon injuries, osteoarthritis and acute ligament and muscle injuries. Dr. Islam is joined by, his patient, Jake Hubbard, whose recovery following his most recent surgery  was made significantly easier than previous procedures with the help of regenerative treatment at TriHealth Orthopedic & Sports Institute.
