Michael's Treatment and Return to Activity After Post-Concussion Syndrome

Most concussion symptoms will resolve in a week to three months, but for some patients with post-concussion syndrome, the symptoms can last much longer and have long-term negative effects.

This video features Michael, a young athlete who has been treated for post-concussion syndrome by the experts at TriHealth’s Concussion Program, a service of the TriHealth Orthopedic & Sports Institute. He shares his experience with physical therapy and the role it has played in his recovery and return to activity. It also features Emily Dixon, DO, the program’s director, who shares more information about TriHealth’s approach to treating post-concussion syndrome and why the program leads the way in Greater Cincinnati in providing this treatment.
