Health Talk by TriHealth Podcast: Maternal Cardiac Care

Women with heart conditions are often told that they shouldn’t try to have children. While the risks and challenges are real, in many cases they can be overcome. That is the goal of TriHealth’s Center for Maternal Cardiac Care (CMCC), one of the few multidisciplinary programs in the country that is dedicated to helping women with heart conditions achieve their dream of having a baby.

In this episode of Health Talk by TriHealth, CMCC Medical Director William Schnettler MD explains the center’s unique and collaborate approach to helping women with heart conditions begin a family of their own. He is joined by CMCC patient Maria Lucas, who was once advised to not get pregnant because she was told wouldn’t be able to carry children. Maria shares her experience working with CMCC and the joy of being the mother of two healthy children.

Health Talk by TriHealth is a monthly podcast to help you take charge of your healthcare and live a healthier happy life.
