Learn How TriHealth Supports Healthy Babies
TriHealth team members, along with thousands of others, gathered Sunday, April 26, 2015 to show support for Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky newborns.
This year’s March for Babies, organized by the March of Dimes, a national health agency that works to improve infant health by preventing birth defects, premature births and infant mortality, pulled together more than 12,000 participants and $1.12 million to fund community services, research, education and advocacy.
TriHealth’s team raised $1,594. In addition, TriHealth sponsored the March for Babies Ambassador Showcase. This year’s ambassador family was the Bass family; Logan and Lizzie Bass, now 7 and 5 years old, respectively, spent time in the Good Samaritan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as infants.
Read a first-hand account of the Bass family's experience in the NICU, written by mother Harmony Bass. She and her husband, Eric, had four premature children, all of whom are healthy today.
