Justin ThompsonJustin Thompson
Personal Training Coordinator

I graduated from Miami University in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Health Apprasial & Enhancement and Sport Organization. I am a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and have been a personal trainer since 2002. Specialty Certifications I hold include ACSM Cancer Exercise, TRX Suspension Training and Bender Pilates. Areas of expertise include Injury Prevention, Post Rehabilitation, Balance, Functional Movement, Sports Performance, as well as general fitness and weight loss. Other interests when I’m not personal training include coaching my daughters sports teams, woodworking, watching movies and relaxing with my family. 

Claude BauerClaude Bauer 

I was directed to personal training because I wanted to combine my nursing background with physical fitness after personally and professionally identifying of importance of good health and well being. I enjoy working with the female population of all ages and the special needs population. I am an actively participating tri-althete in local and out-of-state competitions. My personal training philosophy is to provide motivation and tools for clients to do things they never imagined, while communicating techniques to maintaining safety and reaching an optimal level of well being.  My education consists of a bachelor's degree in nursing and I am an American Council on Exercise certified personal training, YMCA personal trainer and group fitness instructor, and a certified Spinning instructor.


Kris BellushKris Bellush

I have been with personal training for more than 15 years. I believe that exercise is a necessity to achieve balance within your body and your life. My training style incorporates different techniques to achieve all-around fitness. I have my master's degree from Indiana University, and I am an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer. I like training beginner and intermediate clients who will work hard and have the desire to make changes.

Rachel BrownRachel Brown

I studied Exercise Science at Northern Kentucky University where I was a four-year starter on the women’s golf team. I attended the University of Cincinnati where I earned a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Education. I have been personal training for over two years with my certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I believe that exercise is unique to every individual and that physical fitness is one of the key components in achieving overall wellness. Rachel is also the Administrative Assistant/Head Golf Coach at Thomas More College. 

Keith CarpenterKeith Carpenter

I have been physically active my entire life. It is the magical "Fountain of Youth." I was directed toward personal training because it is way to promote fitness and the benefits of leading an active lifestyle. I enjoy training anyone that wants to improve their fitness and health at various different fitness levels. I have a bachelor's degree in physical education from Northern Kentucky University and I am a certified National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Personal Trainer. Hard work and discipline DO pay off. When you make the decision to become a healthier individual your dedication to reaching that goal will make it a reality.

Mark DaughteryMark Daughtery

I have been personal training for more than eight years. From 2005-2007, I worked with the Cincinnati Red's Strength and Conditioning Program. I currently run a post surgical rehabilitation center, where I rehab patients who have had neck and back surgeries. I know personal training is not affordable for everyone, but I think everyone should work with a trainer even for a short amount of time to insure proper posture, form and lifting technique. This will reduce your risk of injury and keep your body working as efficiently as possible. Your workout may not be hurting you now, but if proper posture and technique are not followed, the wear and tear on your body and joints will affect your life tremendously in the future. I enjoy helping others reach their fitness goals. I also educate people on the importance of exercise, proper lifting, body mechanics and posture. I have my bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and I am a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

I originally got into the fitness industry because I enjoyed having an active lifestyle and figured I would have one the rest of my life. As I went through my schooling, I realized I wanted to gear my studies toward older adults and special populations. I saw a need to keep these individuals healthy and independent, and to enhance their quality of life. I graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science/wellness and a master's degree in adapted physical activity. Since starting out in the fitness industry as a personal trainer in 2001, I've held a wide range of positions in a number of organizations across five different states. Working to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions has been a driving force throughout my career. I'm excited to bring my knowledge and experience back to the Cincinnati area. Regardless of your level of ability, I'm looking forward to creating a program that's unique to you.

Steve FranciaSteve Francia

I was directed to personal training because I saw a personal trainer and thought I could do better. I have a desire to help people live a healthier lifestyle. I will train ANY person and will adapt to their own unique and specific needs. I have more than 12 years experience as a personal trainer. I am a fitness coach for local schools, have my black belt in Tae Kwon Do and am a soccer and volleyball player and coach.  I have a bachelor of science degree in exercise science from the University of Cincinnati. I am an American Council on Exercise (ACE) personal trainer and group exercise trainer, as well as a YMCA aqua trainer. I believe that there is no failure, only adventure and the road to finding your own personal success should be filled with adventure!

Megan GulauMegan Gulau

I want to help people improve their quality of life!  It is very possible for everyone to reach their fitness goals. Sometimes you just need a little push. That's is what I am here for!  I enjoy the challenge of working with someone new and I train all fitness levels and ages. I have a bachelor's in fitness administration and business from the University of Toledo. I am also certified as a personal trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), and I completed a six-month personal training course and received a diploma from the National Personal Training Institute in San Diego. I enjoy doing interval training at high intensity! I form love/hate relationships with my clients: They hate me during our session, but love me for the results!

Jen HorenziakJen Horenziak

I have been involved in sports and fitness since childhood. I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years and competed for Stanford University during my college years.  After retiring from the sport, I took up distance running and became certified as a group fitness instructor to stay motivated and in shape.  Once I started teaching fitness, I was hooked!  Helping my clients to develop healthy habits, set and reach their goals, and fall in love with exercise and fitness is incredibly rewarding.  I enjoy working with clients at all levels of fitness knowledge and experience to increase strength, flexibility and cardiorespiratory endurance.  As a mother of two young children with a career in marketing, I have learned to incorporate fitness into a busy lifestyle, and I work with my clients to find creative and fun ways to build exercise into their lives.  I hold an AFAA group exercise certification, Spinning certification, and American College of Sports Medicine personal training certification. I graduated from Stanford University with a BA in psychology with honors and distinction, and I have an MBA with a concentration in health sector management from Duke University.

Phil MeierPhil Meier

I have always loved to be active and I can not think of a better job than helping people change their lives, physically, mentally and spiritually.  As a personal trainer, it is my job to motivate clients and create environments of success.  I believe in providing constant muscle confusion in order to expedite results which allow the client to achieve both short term and long term goals.  I have a B.A. in Exercise Science/Recreation Fitness from Northern Kentucky University.  I am an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist.  I have been a personal trainer for eight years with a focus on functional fitness.  I believe everyone should follow the FITT Principle: Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type.  Workout intensity trumps time and frequency.  If you put in the effort, you WILL achieve results.  Our mind sets limits before our bodies have a chance to achieve our goals.  Use proper progression and the results are boundless.


Nichole StitzelNichole Stitzel

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Nutrition at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While going to school I worked as an extern for Trihealth Corporate Health department as a health fitness specialist, helping people get a better idea of their health status. I have been personal training since 2015 and am currently working on my national certification through NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine). Healthy living is a big passion of mine and I hope to continue to share my passion with others!

Andy WaiteAndy Waite

I graduated from Morehead State University in the summer of 2008 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I've been a personal trainer for seven years, and my specialties include weight loss and strength training. I like to frequently change up workouts to maximize results with myself as well as my clients. My hobbies include playing video games and working out, and I also love dogs.

James WilsonJames Wilson

James Wilson began working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at the TriHealth Pavilion in 2016. He has a B.S. in Athletic Training and Kinesiology from Miami University and competes on NBC’s hit television show American Ninja Warrior. He has three years of clinical experience in Intercollegiate Athletics. James enjoys obstacle course racing, snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing and volunteering for charity events.

Karen SimsKaren Sims

I am the Pavilion's lead certified athletic trainer directing the Medical Exercise Services Department.  We specialize in working with individuals with special needs due to chronic conditions, orthopedic problems, and recovery issues that may require special knowledge and specialized exercise programs.  My past experiences includes working with Elder High School athletes, Mt. St. Joseph College, and Wellington Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Tracy LittelmannTracy Littelmann

As a Pavilon athletic trainer, I work in our Post Rehabilitation and Exercise is Medicine programs, including our three-month Post Rehab Program, two-month Aquatic-only Rehab Program, and Fitness for Surgery. In addition, I provide exercise programming for TriHealth's Bariatric Program at Good Samaritan Hospital. I enjoy helping people achieve a better quality of life through utilizing exercise for disease management or for those recovering from recent surgery or injury who have completed physical therapy or cardiac rehab.
