TriHealth Women’s Center Kenwood offers outpatient nutrition counseling that includes individualized nutrition assessment, diagnosis and intervention. After the initial assessment, our Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will monitor and evaluate progress with the patient and their targeted nutrition plan. Nutrition education for disease prevention and nutrition counseling for chronic conditions are provided over a series of visits.

Services include:

  • Nutrition screening and education
  • Individual nutrition consultations
  • Weight loss, weight maintenance or weight gain strategies
  • Nutrition counseling for chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.
  • Meal planning strategies
  • Counseling regarding food allergies and intolerance
  • Dietary support for patients facing cancer, gastrointestinal conditions
  • Eating disorders

Our Dietitian

Kristen DeAngelis, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Licensed Dietitian in the State of Ohio. She has a B.S. In Human, Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech University and she did her Dietetic Internship at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Kristen DeAngelisKristen focuses on a whole body approach to health and healing using food as a foundation for health. She counsels individual clients at the TriHealth Women’s Center and leads educational group classes at the TriHealth Medical Fitness Pavilion to help patients identify gaps in current dietary intake, to develop healthy meal planning strategies for optimal health, and to understand how to include nutrient-rich foods for sustainable health and quality of life.

Kristen is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and a certified ACE personal trainer and discusses the importance of mindfulness practices, stress-reducing techniques, and physical activity when addressing food related behaviors with her patients.

Kristen enjoys traveling, running, visiting family back in Boston, MA, and practicing yoga. Food is a foundation for health and Kristen looks forward to helping her patients use this powerful form of medicine to support their current health and wellness goals.
