Tennis Elbow Symptoms
Symptoms include elbow pain upon gripping or pinching, or with certain wrist motions. This pain is generally dull and aching but can be very sharp and sudden. It can cause a person to drop objects or be unable to pick up something as small as a coffee cup.
Tennis Elbow Treatment
The condition may resolve spontaneously over time. Otherwise, conservative treatment is usually successful, with only about ten percent of patients needing surgery. Conservative measures may include splinting, anti-inflammatory medicines (Ibuprofen, etc.), cortisone, rest and avoidance of certain wrist motions. Specific strengthening exercises may also be recommended.
