EMS Clinical Rotation

The clinical experience the EMS student receives plays an important role in the overall educational process of becoming an EMT, Advanced EMT, or paramedic. TriHealth has an experienced team of nurses and clinicians at each hospital ready to provide the required clinical rotation.

The Emergency Department rotation affords the student the opportunity to experience how the Emergency Department works and how a patient is cared for in this department once an ambulance transfers the care of their patient to the Emergency Department staff. The Emergency Department clinical rotation will also allow the student, under direct supervision of a preceptor, the ability to use the skills and knowledge he/she has learned in their EMS course.
