How Does Insurance Coverage Work?

As the patient, your payment is dependent upon your individual insurance plan. The portion you are responsible to pay for is often called a copayment, deductible or coinsurance.  If you are required by your insurance plan to pay a deductible or percent of allowable charges, the “sticker price” you see is reduced by the amount negotiated by your particular insurance company.

When are Hospital Visiting Hours?

Good Samaritan Hospital:

General visiting hours on patient care units are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. After this time, visitors should follow instruction for after-hours visitors ( read more). 

In some areas of the hospital, the standard visiting hours may not apply. Those areas include Maternity Services, where visiting hours are open, and the Intensive Care Unit, where visiting hours are flexible to meet the needs of patients and their visitors.

Visiting hours for the Adult Inpatient Psychiatric unit and the Geriatric Behavioral Health unit are 4 to 8 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 8 p.m. weekends. Learn more about visiting hours or general visiting information at Good Samaritan.
