Health Talk Live: Answers to Questions About COVID-19 Vaccines

Many local healthcare providers and first responders have begun receiving vaccines for COVID-19 and the Ohio Department of Health has announced plans for the early stages of its phased distribution program. However, in these early stages, many have questions about the vaccines, their impact on our health and daily lives and more, there are many questions surrounding the vaccine and the disease.

In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis is joined by TriHealth’s Medical Director for Infectious DiseaseStephen Blatt, MD and Chief Medical Officer Kevin Joseph, MD. They answer some of the most common questions such as what vaccinations mean for the need for social distancing and wearing masks, what impact mutations of COVID-19 might have on efforts to achieve herd immunity and why getting the second dose of the vaccine is so important.
