Participating in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) defined scholarly activity is an integral part of all residency and fellowship programs at Good Samaritan and Bethesda North Hospitals.

As part of their clinical and educational training, residents and fellows have a unique opportunity to receive exceptional support from TriHealth Hatton Research Institute to assist them with their scholarly endeavors. Each residency and fellowship program has a dedicated Clinical Research Specialist that provides expert consultation and assistance in all aspects of completing a successful scholarship project in which the residents or fellows will:

  • Define a research hypothesis
  • Develop and implement a research plan
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Interpret findings
  • Disseminate findings in form of presentation or publication
