According to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevent (CDC) approximately 38 million U.S. adults report binge drinking an average of four times per month and consume an average of eight drinks per episode.
Alcohol poisoning is a serious and sometimes deadly consequence of drinking large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time. Drinking too much too quickly can affect your breathing, heart rate, body temperature and gag reflex and could potentially lead to a coma and/or death.
