Robert Walker Named TriHealth Board of Trustees Chairman

Robert L. Walker is the newly elected chairman of TriHealth Board of Trustees. He has served as a TriHealth board member, including Finance Committee member, since 2005.

Walker is senior vice president and chief financial officer at Western & Southern Financial Group. His responsibilities include the actuarial, controller, tax and treasury functions. He also held executive financial positions at National Data Corporation and Providian Corporation and is on the board of Computer Services, Inc. His civic leadership roles include member of Playhouse in the Park executive committee and United Way former campaign cabinet member.

“Bob’s leadership combined with Western and Southern’s commitment to Cincinnati are definite assets to TriHealth in this era of health care financial reform and collaboration,” said John S. Prout, TriHealth president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Walker is a resident of Indian Hill. He is a graduate of University of Kentucky College of Law and serves on the school’s Visiting Committee. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Transylvania University in Lexington.

Mr. Walker succeeds Jim Schwab who recently became president and chief executive officer of the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati upon his retirement as Cincinnati market president of U.S. Bank.
