TriHealth has been ranked among the Top 100 Most Highly Integrated Healthcare Networks (IHNs) in the nation for the 13th year of the award’s 14-year life.

SDI Health’s award is regarded as the nation’s premier rating to evaluate integrated health networks on their performance and degree of integration of quality-integrated patient care.

The TriHealth system, including Bethesda North and Good Samaritan hospitals, physician practices and ambulatory centers, ranked 50th in the U.S.

  • TriHealth was the only local hospital system among SDI’s Top 100.
  • TriHealth’s ranking was the third highest in Ohio.
  • TriHealth’s rating score for physician participation was higher than the average of the top 10 IHNs.

“We are very proud to consistently be recognized by SDI as the nation’s 50th most integrated health network,” said John Prout, president and chief executive officer of TriHealth. “Being named for the 13th year among the Top 100 is a distinction we recognize with pride and is a direct result of our high physician participation, which helps drive our ongoing performance improvement initiatives.”

SDI is a healthcare analytics organization that provides innovative services to help the health care industry solve a wide range of business challenges. The 2011 rating identifies the top 100 IHNs in the current universe of 576 non-specialty, local, and regional networks in the United States that meet critical success factors. The ratings are based on SDI’s IHN Rating System, which evaluates each network’s ability to operate as a unified organization in eight categories: integration, integrated technology, contractual capabilities, outpatient utilization, financial stability, services and access, hospital utilization and physicians.
