TriHealth Announces Agreement with UnitedHealthcare

TriHealth is pleased to announce an agreement has been reached with UnitedHealthcare that ensures TriHealth hospitals, outpatient centers, and physicians remain in-network for the tens of thousands of patients TriHealth serves through UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid health plans.

The new agreement means care will continue uninterrupted for UnitedHealthcare Commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid patients. Patients can continue to schedule appointments as usual.

“Reaching an agreement and continuing to serve the Greater Cincinnati community’s health care needs has always been TriHealth’s top priority. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue caring for the roughly 80,000 of our patients who have been affected by these negotiations and look forward to strengthening our relationship with UnitedHealthcare moving forward,” said TriHealth President and CEO Mark C. Clement.” We understand the times of uncertainly throughout these negotiations were difficult for our patients with UnitedHealthcare coverage, and we are thrilled to put them behind us and focus entirely on improving the health of our patients and community.”

“We appreciate UnitedHealthcare working creatively with us to find an agreeable solution, and most of all we are thankful to UnitedHealthcare members for trusting us with their health care needs. We promise to validate and continue to earn that trust each and every day by Getting Health Care Right, one patient at a time, always!!!”

Forging this partnership of collaboration between TriHealth and UnitedHealthcare ensures TriHealth can continue focusing on our patients’ short- and long-term health care needs, delivering better care, better health, and better value for the community. For the years, TriHealth’s nationally recognized population health model has helped reduce health care costs in Greater Cincinnati by more than $100 million while improving health outcomes. This latest agreement ensures UnitedHealthcare members can continue receiving the most comprehensive, cost-effective care in the nation.
