TriHealth Completes Acquisition of Sixth Acute Care Hospital: TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital

TriHealth, Cincinnati’s nationally-recognized health care system, is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of its sixth acute care hospital. Clinton Memorial Hospital (CMH), which has been a health care staple for the community of Wilmington, is now TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital.

“This new name will extend TriHealth’s brand promise to ‘see, to hear and to heal…delivering surprisingly human care’ to the residents of Clinton County,” said TriHealth President and CEO Mark C. Clement. “And it will also affirm TriHealth’s commitment to invest in the hospital and expand services locally, establishing it as a regional hub for TriHealth’s exceptional, nationally recognized care – all for the benefit of the Clinton County community we are now proud to serve!”

TriHealth, which has provided Primary Care and Women’s Services offerings in Clinton County since 2022, first announced plans to acquire CMH in June, and since then TriHealth’s senior leaders have worked closely with the Clinton County Commission, CMH leaders, physicians and members of the Clinton County community to ensure the hospital is prepared to meet the community’s needs. CMH established a 75-year legacy of service to the community, and TriHealth is excited for the opportunity to offer residents a seamless gateway and connection to world-class specialized care and service lines, including Women’s Health, Cancer, Heart and Vascular, Neurosciences and Stroke Care.

“When I met with the CMH associates and providers to share TriHealth’s mission to acquire CMH, I was encouraged by the positive response and enthusiasm around joining our large and growing regional system,” Clement said. “We are thrilled to welcome all of the CMH associates, providers and leaders as TriHealth team members committed to Getting Health Care Right!”

While preparing to welcome CMH’s physicians and employees to TriHealth, senior leaders also completed a standard, rigorous process to finalize the hospital’s updated leadership structure:

  • Tom Daskalakis will serve as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). With more than two decades of health care leadership experience in our region, Tom has served for the past two years at CEO of CMH and before that was Chief Administrative Officer at UC West Chester Hospital. Tom’s new title of President and COO is consistent with TriHealth’s other hospital leaders at Bethesda North and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
  • Bradley Boggus will remain Chief Financial Officer. He has served as CFO for Clinton Memorial Hospital for a total of six years.
  • Debra Dozier will also continue to serve as Chief Nursing Officer. With 15-plus years of nursing leadership experience, she has served as CNO at CMH since July 2024.

“Tom, Bradley and Debra bring extensive experience and a track record of success, and it is clear to TriHealth that they enjoy strong support of local physicians, nurses, associates and the Clinton County community,” Clement said. “Equally important, they are servant leaders who share our TriHealth values and commitment to people, culture and clinical excellence. Their appointments will provide continuity of leadership and help to support a successful transition into TriHealth beginning in September and continuing beyond!”

Over the last 10 years TriHealth has revitalized health care culture through investments in technology and infrastructure, ensuring patients have access to the most state-of-the-art, up-to-date medical care available. Ensuring rural communities have access to that same level of care is an extension of TriHealth’s philosophy, Clement said.

“At TriHealth we believe in providing patients the right care at the right place at the right time,” Clement said. “We couldn’t be prouder of the care CMH has provided to Clinton County over the last 75 years, and we’re excited to play a major role in providing for the community’s health care needs for another 75 years, and beyond!”
