TriHealth’s Good Samaritan Hospital delivered the most babies in the state of Ohio for the sixth consecutive year, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s Vital Statistics division. Good Samaritan led all Ohio hospitals with 6,531 babies delivered for 2011. TriHealth’s Bethesda North Hospital was the only other regional hospital to make the top ten with 4,032 deliveries.
“At TriHealth, we recognize each mother is different, each family is unique, and each baby is a remarkable gift,” said John Prout, President and CEO of TriHealth. “More Ohio families choose our hospitals because of the personalized, quality care our talented physicians and staff provide every day.”
Good Samaritan has state-of-the-art Level III Neonatal Intensive Care services for pregnant women and newborns, and the Harold and Margret Thomas Special Care Nursery at Bethesda North Hospital offers Level II services.
Additionally, the Seton Center for Advanced Obstetrics and Special Care Obstetrics Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital and the Bethesda North Hospital Perinatal Center provide care for women with high-risk pregnancies. TriHealth offers a wide array of maternity classes, perinatal programs and testing.
TriHealth’s commitment to maternity service has enabled the hospital to recruit a large base of well-respected obstetrics and gynecology physicians. As an award-winning employer, TriHealth nurses and hospital staff partner with the physicians to provide the care environment that leads more families to choose TriHealth hospitals than any others in the state.
Together with a team of TriHealth Nurse Midwives, TriHealth offers patients plenty of care choices. Good Samaritan’s Faculty Medical Center and Bethesda North's OB/GYN center also provide health care services to un-insured and under-insured patients.
