TriHealth Appoints Steve Gracey, JD Permanent General Counsel

TriHealth has announced thatSteve Gracey, JD has been appointed as the new TriHealth General Counsel,effective immediately. He has served as Interim TriHealth General Counsel sinceJuly 2016.

Gracey’s appointment follows anational search in which a number of talented candidates were interviewed andconsidered. Steve emerged as the strongest, most broadly supported candidateand the clear choice following an interview process involving physicians,leaders, team members and trustees.

As General Counsel, Gracey willdirectly manage all in-house and outside legal services as well as oversee RiskManagement. He will also be responsible for organizing a new TriHealth functionrelated to Government Relations and Advocacy.

A graduate ofColumbia University and UC College of Law, Gracey has served as Director ofRisk Management since joining TriHealth in 2011. In this role, he wasinstrumental in reducing the outstanding liability by millions of dollarsthrough education, early resolution support and improved claim administrationtechniques. Under Gracey’s leadership, his team created a self-insuredliability program for employed physicians and other providers, resulting inmore than $4 million in annual savings.
