On March 21, Good Samaritan Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, and TriHealth welcomed the leadership of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati to bless and dedicate the stained glass memorial honoring the late Sister Myra James Bradley, SC.
Sister Myra was President and Chief Executive Officer of Good Samaritan from 1991-1998 and was instrumental in establishing TriHealth. She also served as chairwoman of the board for TriHealth from 1995-1998.
Throughout her 36 year career in health care and 62 years as a Sister of Charity, Sister Myra was known for her magnetic personality that was driven by her strong commitment to excellence, compassion, and community service. This commitment was the foundation of her charismatic leadership style as an administrator, as was her past experience and education. Sister Myra held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Mt. St. Joseph University and a Master of Hospital Administration Degree from St. Louis University. She was a Cincinnati native and graduate of Seton High School.
Sister Myra is remembered fondly by the Good Samaritan and TriHealth family. The stained glass memorial, funded by Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, serves as an enduring reminder of Sister Myra’s impact on Good Samaritan, TriHealth, and the Greater Cincinnati community. The inscription next to the instillation summarizes this impact best:
In honor of Sister Myra James Bradley, SC and her inspirational leadership and guidance while Chief Executive Officer of Good Samaritan Hospital from 1991-1998.The lessons she taught us are treasured.
