From a young age, Alison Swelbar, PA-C, found her passion for science and helping people. During high school, her father was diagnosed with colon cancer, sparking her interest in gastroenterology. She gained two years of experience working with patients in the hospital before moving to her current practice.
As a certified physician assistant, Alison sees adults for acute and chronic illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract, including reflux, celiac disease, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. She builds rapport with her patients, creating a trusting relationship that opens doors to communication. She likes to spend time with her patients, listening to their concerns and answering all questions. She encourages everyone to advocate for themselves and to ask questions to better understand their health conditions.
A native Cincinnatian, Alison is married. She is a runner and loves to cook, read and knit.
