Dr. McKirnan’s parents always encouraged their daughters to pursue their dreams. After breaking her ankle, having surgery and subsequently getting to shadow her surgeon, the dream to become a doctor was instilled. She chose obstetrics and gynecology as her specialty because it combined the surgical aspects she loved with the opportunity to connect with patients in a long-term relationship. She loves delivering babies and finds it rewarding to share that special time with families.
Dr. McKirnan sees women from adolescence through menopause for all obstetric and gynecologic concerns, including annual exams, prenatal/delivery/postnatal care, robotic surgery and contraception management. She wants her patients to feel welcome and safe to open up about any concern with her. She encourages her patients to get routine annual preventive care.
Originally from central Ohio, Dr. McKirnan moved to the tristate area to spend more time with family in northern Cincinnati. She is an avid fitness fan and loves yoga. She and her sister are working on a goal to hike all 50 U.S. National Parks, having visited eight in the past five years.
