About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Infectious Diseases

Dr. Elias Fares likes to play detective, solving problems that may affect the whole body and working with other physicians to find a cure to an illness. As a board-certified infectious disease specialist, he comes to TriHealth with six years of experience at a health system in Pennsylvania, where he was division chief. He also served at Drexel University College of Medicine as an assistant professor.

Dr. Fares specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. He is particularly interested in joint and bone infections, central nervous system infections and travel medicine. He puts a priority on compassionate care, assuring that patients can feel comfortable sharing their concerns and trusting him to listen carefully. He encourages everyone to exercise first thing in the morning, emphasizing the need to take care of yourself first before attending to others.

Dr. Fares met his wife, also a physician, in medical school and they have one child. They moved to the United States for training and chose to make Cincinnati their home. He runs three miles every morning and loves to read.

I can say that my time here at the hospital I've been highly taken care of they treated me like a human which I am but they didn't just treat me like another patient like I didn't matter, also every member of the staff that has worked with me has had amazing positive uplifting energy not only that everyone seems there to 100% help in anyway they can. All procedures went well I can honestly say if it's always like this here I don't see why this isn't the highest rated hospital in Cincinnati. I hope everyone keeps up the great same work.

This health system needs to break away from the usual use of MyChart which is a system that is create distance between the provider and the patient, as well as being a generator of misinformation. It is past time for the medical community from using this antiquated system that only creates problems between patients and the staff that attempts to work with patients. When is the medical community going to open their eyes to the fact that there is a wide range technological advances to overcome the problems created by their antiquated system of communicating with their patients! To TriHealth get your heads out of your arses.

I trust Dr. Elias Fares, he has gotten me through this horrible lung infection and the antibiotics that are required to treat the infection. I have seen other infectious disease doctors in the past, and I wouldn't see them again.
