A love for connecting with others and knowing the impact that improving quality of life can have on so many prompted Elizabeth Wang to pursue a career in health care. After working as an emergency room nurse, she recognized her passion for primary care and hopes to keep patients out of the ER by effectively managing health concerns in an outpatient setting.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Elizabeth sees adults for preventive, acute and chronic care. She offers same-day appointments for sick patients. She is particularly interested in lifestyle medicine, addressing the causes of disease through behavior changes, such as diet, exercise and stress management. She believes in patient centered care, devising plans that align with the patient’s priorities and health needs. She strives to create an environment where her patients feel heard and valued. She encourages everyone to maintain an active lifestyle for both mental and physical health.
A native of the Indianapolis area, Elizabeth is married. She likes to stay active and is an avid runner and cyclist. She also plays piano and guitar. She has been involved with volunteer groups, taking a medical mission trip to Peru, helping immigrants to assimilate and teaching English. She looks forward to continuing that work.
