A deep desire to improve a person’s quality of life, mentally or physically, led Erica Ackerman, PA C, to medicine. She chose to work in oncology because of the abundance of ongoing research and advancements in treatment that continuously improve patient outcomes. She values the chance to work closely with patients and be an advocate for them.
As a certified physician assistant, Erica sees patients with a cancer diagnosis, providing follow-up care and managing side effects with personalized care. She creates a warm and welcoming environment where trusting relationships can be built. Erica provides emotional support and respect, involving patients in their treatment plans and assuring that they understand their conditions and treatment plans. She encourages everyone to do something every day that brings happiness and decreases stress.
A native of Louisville, Erica recently moved to Northern Kentucky with her fiancée. She has served on a medical mission trip and looks forward to doing that again. She enjoys travel, home decor and design, trying new recipes and visiting all the awesome restaurants in the city.
