Fumie J. Nishiyama, MD, became a physician as she had a calling to
be of service to others. A problem solver by nature, Dr. Nishiyama feels
privileged to be part of her patients’ lives and hear their stories. She
works with them to find individualized solutions and plans to provide
the best treatment.
Dr. Nishiyama treats adult patients, age 18 and older, for a wide variety
of endocrine disorders including diabetes and thyroid diseases. Since
each patient is unique, she encourages each patient to live mindfully
and think conscientiously about their choices, so that together they
can reach the long-term health goals to improve their quality of life.
Dr. Nishiyama has helped educate medical students about the
endocrine system and has been published in peer review journals.
