About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Colon and Rectal Surgery

Hamza Guend, MD, provides surgical treatment for the management of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. With fellowship training in colorectal surgery and a specialized focus in colorectal oncology, he is equipped with the latest advancements to treat patients for ailments affecting their digestive system. Trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery, Dr. Guend works closely with patients to determine the best course of action to treat their particular condition. He is focused on treating the patient as a whole, not simply focusing on their condition. He is specially trained in sphincter-preserving surgery, allowing patients to avoid having a permanent colostomy.

Dr. Guend looks forward to establishing a relationship of trust and understanding with his patients. He makes a point of meeting with patients extensively before surgery to answer all questions and alleviate any concerns, and follows patients closely after surgery. In every instance, Dr. Guend's goal is to utilize his surgical skills to allow patients the ability to re-establish their normal life.
