James Pavelka MD is a gynecologic oncologist with Tristate Gynecologic Oncology, and the Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital. He is also the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. Dr. Pavelka graduated from Denison University in Granville, OH, in 1997, and from the College of Medicine at the Ohio State University, in Columbus, in 2001.
He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Ohio State University Medical Center in 2005 and the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at UCLA/Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles in 2008.
Dr. Pavelka joined the staff of Good Samaritan Hospital in August 2008. He is fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Pavelka's research interests include minimally invasive surgical techniques and the effects of obesity on gynecologic cancers and their treatments.
