Dr. Joseph K. Choo brings more than 20 years of
experience caring for patients with complex structural
heart disease. For the past decade, he has focused
on the cutting edge of cardiology, developing new
strategies for diagnosing and treating coronary artery
disease, vascular disease, structural heart disease and
congenital heart defects. Inspired by the many advances
in heart care over his career, Dr. Choo finds it most
rewarding to make a positive impact on his patients’ lives.
As a board-certified specialist, Dr. Choo uses advanced
interventional technologies to diagnose and treat
valve disorders and non-coronary abnormalities that
require mechanical solutions, including aortic valves,
mitral valves, tricuspid valves, atrial septal defects,
patent foramen ovales and ventricular septal defects.
He believes in partnering with his patients to ensure
the best outcomes. He is dedicated to empowering
his patients to heal and stay healthy. He encourages
everyone to maintain an active lifestyle to avoid or
lessen heart disease.
Originally from Boston, Dr. Choo and his wife moved to
Cincinnati many years ago to be near family. They have
two children. He enjoys building computers and is an
avid reader.
