A lifelong interest in wellness and preventive healthcare led Dr. Katherine Lyons to pursue a career in medicine. In addition to working as a primary care physician for three years, she completed a one-year mentorship in obesity medicine and subsequently created and co-directed a fellowship program in the specialty. She is board certified in internal medicine and a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Lyons sees her involvement in weight management as an opportunity to help people build their own systems for healthy living. She is passionate about helping people make small changes over time to transform their lives. She is collaborative and creative in helping her patients develop unique approaches that work specifically for their lifestyles. Her goal is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where all aspects of health are taken seriously. She focuses on comprehensive strategies to improve all aspects of functionality and wellbeing. She encourages everyone to remember that health is not a number on a scale or a specific body mass index (BMI).
