With 20 years of experience as a critical care hospital nurse, Laura Lewis, AG-ACNP, brings a wealth of knowledge to her patients. Growing up, she was surrounded by family members in the medical field, but was especially intrigued by the many avenues available in nursing. She started out in critical care and loved helping her cardiac patients get better. She values the opportunity to continue learning and taking on new challenges.
As a board-certified nurse practitioner, Laura provides comprehensive pre- and post-operative care to patients who have had open heart or thoracic surgery. She also sees patients who have circulatory support devices. She likes to create a collaborative environment, working closely with other medical providers, patients and their families. She also enjoys providing the education her patients and their families need, boosting their confidence to take care of their medical needs. She encourages everyone to live in moderation, knowing that excesses can create health concerns.
A native of Harrison, OH, Laura and her husband have four children. She enjoys running and spending time with her kids.
