Dr. Marcus Trybula’s path to medicine began in childhood.
With a physician father and nurse mother, service to others
was always emphasized. An interest in science and service
drew him to medicine, but it was his passion for working
directly with patients affected by cancer that drove him to
a career in hematology and oncology. He finds it deeply
rewarding to support patients during an often life-changing
process and to form long-lasting relationships with them.
Dr. Trybula provides diagnoses and treatments for patients
with all types of cancer. He has a subspecialty interest in
lung cancer and precision medicine, which customizes
therapies to each person. He believes in taking time to
understand his patient’s goals, then partnering with them
to determine the best course of tailored treatment, tailored
to that individual. He encourages everyone to ask for help
when faced with difficulties, knowing that resources are
usually available to ease the way.
Dr. Trybula and his wife like cooking and trying new
cuisines. He enjoys reading and doing the New York Times
crossword. He remains active playing pickleball and water
polo. During his fellowship, he volunteered his time and
expertise to care for patients with hemophilia in the Amish
community in northeastern Ohio.
