  • Internal Medicine

Originally a personal trainer, Dr. Matthew Harden found he wanted to help a wider range of people live their healthiest lives. He saw medicine as the perfect way to help people to combine his love of science with his desire to help people. He loves building relationships with people and seeing them do well or improve their health.

Dr. Harden sees adults for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness, including hypertension and diabetes. He is also very interested in working with athletes and the LGBTQIA+ population. He creates a very relaxed and friendly environment where he can work with his patients as a team. He sees himself as a resource, an educator and an advocate to help guide his patients throughout life. Dr. Harden encourages everyone to find something they love that brings more movement to their daily lives, recognizing the positive impact exercise has on overall health.

Dr. Harden grew up in St. Louis and came to Cincinnati for his residency. He enjoys running, lifting weights, playing volleyball and doing escape rooms with friends. He’s also a champion of afternoon naps.

Listening is a great skill that most people does display it when they have! Hearing is a moment of words of flattery not having listening ears to what and where the person is.

Dr. Matthew Harden provided exceptional care throughout my visit. He took his time, asked thoughtful and important questions, and obtained a clear and thorough medical history. He listened carefully and demonstrated genuine engagement in understanding my situation.Dr. Harden clearly explained his assessment and collaborated with me to develop a well-defined plan for my care. I left the appointment feeling heard, respected, and confident in the path forward. His professionalism, attentiveness, and patient-centered approach made this one of the best experiences I have had in a medical office.
