Medicine has been the career path in Dr. Maya Prabhu’s family for generations. Her great-grandfather was a pioneer in healthcare in India. Her grandfather started the Glenwood Family Practice where she and her mother, Dr. Usha Shenai, now work. Dr. Prabhu loves that family medicine is rooted in advocacy for the individual and generational care.
As a board-certified physician, Dr. Prabhu is dedicated to comprehensive care for all ages, from birth through geriatrics. She sees patients for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness, as well as the management of chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Prabhu is very interested in adolescent care and reproductive health care. She provides genderaffirming care. She also performs minor procedures in the office. She creates a safe space for patients to share their stories, questions and concerns. Using evidence-based care, she works with patients to develop individualized treatment plans. Dr. Prabhu encourages everyone to do something each day that brings them joy.
Dr. Prabhu grew up in Cincinnati and looks forward to helping her patients get the care and help they deserve. She enjoys reading, walks, mindful body movement. She loves to travel and spend time with family.
