As a child, Megan Pflum, AGPCNP, watched family members navigate the healthcare system and became fascinated with medicine. She started out working for five years as a pharmacy technician. As a registered nurse, she served in varied settings, including orthopedics, wound care and cardiology. After working in the emergency department, she decided to transition into disease prevention, helping patients prevent and control chronic conditions.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Megan sees adults for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. She also offers same day appointments for sick patients. She is especially interested in preventive medicine. Megan creates a comfortable environment that stimulates honest conversations to allow patients to grow and achieve wellness. She encourages everyone to walk more as an easy and no-cost way to get exercise, absorb sunlight, boost mood and reap cardiovascular benefits. A Cincinnati native, Megan is married and has one child. She volunteers with the Queen City Bulldog Rescue and includes two bulldogs as family members. She loves doing house projects, hiking and golfing.
