Dr. Mohamad Rahwan is a highly skilled and compassionate neurologist dedicated to providing exceptional medical care to improve the lives of patients living with epilepsy and other neurological disorders. With truthful commitments to science and patient-centered approach, Dr. Rahwan built his experience training with many of the leading experts and pioneers in the filed of neurology. His experience, continuous pursuit of knowledge, along with his beliefs of treating every patient as a unique individual, strengthened the doctor-patient relationships, and made him a trusted physician among his patients and colleagues.

Dr. Rahwan firmly believes that successful management of illnesses comes from listening to patients’ concerns, providing thorough but simple explanations, and empowering patients’ participation in their own evidence-based treatment plan.

Dr. Rahwan earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo, in Syria. Passionate about advanced education in the field of neurology, he moved to the United States where he did a post-doctoral fellowship in EEG and Epilepsy at Case Western Reserve University (University Hospitals) in Cleveland, OH. After that he moved to Charleston, South Carolina and completed four years of Neurology residency, followed by two years subspecialty fellowships in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). In 2021, Dr. Rahwan moved back to Ohio and joined TriHealth aiming at providing excellent care for patients in this community.

In his leisure time, Dr. Rahwan loves to spend time with his wife and two young children. He enjoys gardening, photography, and horseback riding. He also finds pleasure in volunteering regularly in charity projects and free clinics.
