Dr. Regina Whitfield Kekessi, MD, MPH, FACOG was inspired to pursue medicine after her father's sudden passing when she was 12 years old. This life changing event sparked her curiosity and passion for improving lives. During a summer pre-med program, she was assigned to an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and found her passion for women’s health.   As she completed her educational journey, she soon realized the mantra - To keep the family matriarch healthy is to keep the family healthy.  She believes impacting peoples’ lives positively is a calling.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Whitfield Kekessi is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and she cares for the full spectrum of a woman's life journey from 12 years and beyond.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology (Cum Laude) from Xavier University in New Orleans, LA and her Master’s in Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She worked in the field of public health for four years before returning to school to earn her Medical Degree from the prestigious Rush University Medical College in Chicago, IL. She completed her OBGYN internship and residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH.  Dr. Whitfield Kekessi has been recognized for the outstanding care she gives her patients by receiving the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award and being voted as a Cincinnati Magazine Top Doctor over several years.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Whitfield Kekessi is an accomplished author with publications in several peer-reviewed journals. She's also a Best-Selling Author of the book: “Adoption is an Option: Your Step-By-Step Guide to Growing Your Family.” She is actively involved in medical leadership roles, serving on the board of the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati Foundation and participating on committees including the Anthem Ohio Medicaid Medical Advisory Committee and the Myriad Women's Advisory Board. She is a lifetime member of the sisterhood and service organization, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

As a dedicated wife and mother, Dr. Whitfield Kekessi values family and strives to make a positive impact in her community. She enjoys public speaking and has shared her insights on various media platforms including television, radio, and social media.  Dr. Whitfield Kekessi's dedication extends to her interest in menopause where she aims to empower women to embrace this phase of life with confidence and vitality.  She is a Menopause Society Certified Provider (MSCP) and is a Co-Director of Trihealth’s Menopause Program.   When she is not caring for patients in her robust clinical practice, she enjoys traveling the world with her family and learning about new cultures.

Dr. Whitfield is very great. She's a very great person. She's caring she explains to you step-by-step. What's going on? She's just great. Her assistant that came in with her on my visit is super. She's a great person. I've had her before. I've had no problem. She explained to me everything step-by-step. I would recommend others to come. It's just the front desk that day Intake just set the tone really low for the office.
