Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ross Wickstrom, CNP, dreamed of being a clinician at a family practice since childhood. After completing his bachelor’s degree at Xavier University, he served four years as an active duty nurse in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with his Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016.
Ross sees patients of all ages for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. His special interests include managing diabetes, hypertension, hypogonadism, depression, anxiety, obesity and disease prevention. Ross believes that wellness and a healthy lifestyle are the most important factors in preventing disease. Ross treats his patients as though they are family, being sure to explain conditions and treatments so they are easily understood. He recognizes the importance of listening and making sure the patient’s voice is heard.
Ross and his wife, Jessica, who is also a nurse, have four sons. He enjoys spending quality time with his family.
