While Dr. Nasim Ahmed relocated to Cincinnati primarily to be close to family, he was drawn to the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute because of its reputation of exceptional care, respected providers, and vision of medicine in the future.
With 16 years of experience in invasive cardiology procedures, Dr. Ahmed now focuses on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in adults. This includes arrhythmias, heart failure, heart attack and coronary artery disease. He creates a friendly environment of open and honest communication where patients can feel safe discussing their health concerns. In traveling the journey with his patients, Dr. Ahmed treats them as if they are part of his own family, exploring available options and empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
The principle, “by saving a single life, one saves humanity,” is what drew Dr. Ahmed to the profession of medicine. Family and community are a central focus for him. He and his wife have five children. He enjoys serving his community through health-related talks and mission trips. He likes to read, explore new places, meet new people, and tend to gardens and fish ponds/aquariums.
