Unfortunately, during COVID-19, many such opportunities are limited, or parents may be concerned about their children’s safety if participating in them. So what options are available that are fun, effective and safe for your children? Ask the “ninjas” who participate in a unique program at the TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion.
In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis talks to Lashaunda Jones, a supervisor at the Pavilion, and John Jacobs, the center’s director. They discuss the Ninja Bootcamp program, offered by trainer James Wilson, who has participated in NBC’s American Ninja Warrior competitions. They explain the fun and engaging ways in which the program helps children stay active, while taking the appropriate safety precautions.
Jacobs also shares information on a program in the fall which will offer virtual options for not only keeping young children active and engaged, but also providing online support for students who are participating in a full-time virtual model when returning to school, especially those whose parents are not able to provide the needed support during the school day due to work or other priorities.
